Ramon Francis

Ramon has a great love of the outdoors and its ability to empower those who journey in it. Traveling on adventures overseas and locally has instilled in Ramon the desire to share the outdoors with others.

Ramon met a great spiritual teacher, a Master of Reiki – Denise Crundall, in 1994 who taught him Reiki. Denise asked him what he would do if everything was taken care of. She said that it is great to be able to work at what you love doing and a bonus if you can make money as well. She also suggested that it is better to have loved and lost than to never have loved at all. Work in the outdoors was the answer.

This was the beginning of Feel the Edge Pty Ltd which now trades as South West Adventures.

Catherine Francis

Catherine Francis is a qualified school teacher, heading the art department at a local secondary college. Catherine also teaches Yoga, has food handling qualifications and is an excellent cook, as walkers on our gourmet walks will vouch!

Brendon Abernethy

Brendon Abernethy is an experienced guide. He has a great love of the outdoors. Brendon is a keen rock climber and is passionate about a form of climbing called ‘bouldering’. He also plays a nice tune on the guitar.

Giving back to the Community

Ramon volunteers his time and services in Warrnambool every Wednesday night beginning 2002. He has run worthwhile activities and programs with families, psychiatric services, disabled young people, school groups and “youth at risk groups”. He has devised and run camps of up to 12 days.
